Yessenia Calderon

Yessenia Calderon is an Animator, Character Designer, Storyboard Artist, and Writer. She is from Chicago, Illinois - The Windy City. She received her BFA in Animation with a Concentration in Cinema at DePaul University. One of her goals is to animate wonderful stories at Pixar Animation.

 

Yessenia goes on to continue to write, create, and produce her own original work while freelancing in various capacities in the areas of project management, real estate, and non-profit organizations. She also worked for an independent author on her novel, GLIMPSES, and designed the book cover and trailer. Be on the lookout for her role as a Sound Designer on the upcoming short film, CHISMOSAS, and she is directing and animating her first animated short film project titled, “CO-KEE!” coming Summer of 2021! In her spare time, she explores her Puerto Rican roots, cooks, dances, and is a co-creator and a part of the EXPRESSO THOUGHTS podcast.
